Homework Guidelines

Do all homework the same day it is assigned, where possible. This way the lesson is fresh in your mind and it will be easier.
Always check the answer, either with the back of the book, a key, or using methods we talked about in class.
If the answer you got is wrong, try it again. If you still don't get it, ask about it in class or before or after school.
Any problem that is prepared on time (a reasonable attempt is made) and with all work shown will get full credit when you show all work for the correct answer.
Homework prepared late will get 80% credit up until the end of the unit. After that it can only get 50% credit.

Here are some guidelines for working in groups. These will make sure that every member of the group is getting full benefit of the homework.

Everyone do the problem on their own at first. This is part of the learning process.
Compare answers with the answer key or back of the book. One of the people who got it right, explain how they did it.
Discuss ways you could check your work on a test.
Discuss whether someone had an easier way to do it.
